Raw Mango Chutney is a mixture of  Raw Mango, Garlic, Green Chilies, Cumin Seeds, Coriander Leaves, Curry Leaves, Pudina, Ginger. This chutney is eaten in different parts of India due to its vibrant flavour and lip-smacking taste.

Raw Mangoes are available throughout the year now-a-days in India. Raw mangoes are extremely beneficial for health. Due to its health benefits, raw mangoes are eaten house to house in different forms. Like eating raw mangoes with salt or using raw mangoes in salads or using raw mangoes in chutney or making its sarabat called panna. There are different ways of eating raw mangoes. The one way to include Raw Mango in your meal is Chutney. 

Raw Mango Chutney is very healthy and its taste is mouth watering. It goes well with all types of Indian Bread like Chapati/Paratha.

Ingredients Of Raw Mango Chutney Without Coconut?

  • 1 cup Raw Mango Chopped (Kache Aam / Kairi)
  • 4-5  chopped Garlic (Lehsun)
  • 3-4 Green Chilies
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin Seed (Jeera)
  • ½ cup Coriander Leaves (Hara Dhania / Kothimbir)
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves (Karipatta)
  • ¼ cup Pudina / Mint Leaves
  • 1 Inch Ginger ( Adrak)
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar

How To Make Raw Mango Chutney Without Coconut?

step 1

Take a mixer pot. Add chopped Raw Mango in it.

Add chopped Garlic, Green Chilies, Cumin Seeds, Coriander Leaves, Curry Leaves, Pudina Leaves Ginger in it.

Blend it.

Add 3 teaspoon Sugar and Salt as per your taste.

Blend it.

Check for consistency. If it's not mixed properly then again grind it.

Mixed it properly and it is ready to eat.

Special Notes

  • Wash all ingredients properly.
  • Wash Raw Mango then dry it and then cut it.
  • If you want something more spicy then you can add more chilies in it.
  • The mixture should not be too soft, a little bit of rough chutney tastes good.

Variations of Raw Mango Chutney

  • We can increase 2-4 green chilies to make it more spicy.
  • We can add ½  cup Pudina in this Chutney instead of ¼ cup which could be good for digestion.
  • Even if you don't like the aroma of Pudina/Mint Leaves then you can avoid it.

a. How to make it Spicy?

If you're fond of Spicy taste then you can make it more spicy.We can increase the quantity of chilies by 2-3 to make chutney more spicy.

If you looking for spicy chutneys then you can check Groundnut Or Peanut Chutney(Dry).

b. How to make it Sour?

Some people love the sour taste of Mangoes and sometimes want to eat sour chutney. Then you can increase the quantity of Mangoes with proportion to other ingredients so that chutney can be sour enough.

c. How to make it Sweet?

Sometimes, we have cravings for sweetness. Then you can increase the proportion of sugar in the chutney and make it more sweet.

How to Serve Raw Mango Chutney?

  • You can serve this Chutney with Parathas/Thalipeeth.
  • You can serve it with a daily meal which can be used as a taste enhancer due to its spicy, sweet and sour taste.
  • This chutney can accessorize your daily meal.
  • It can be eaten with snacks like Poha/Upma/Wada/Pakora.
  • For odd time cravings, you can team this chutney with any available food in the home.
  • Even plain Dal-Rice can taste splendid when eaten with this  chutney.

How to preserve Raw Mango Chutney?

It's wet Chutney so we can store it in an air-tight jar and keep it in the refrigerator. It can be stored for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
