Ingredients

Wet Masala

  • Garlic (लह्सुन )
  • Ginger (अद्रक) 

Dry Masala

  • Cumin Seed (जीरे)
  • Dry Red Chilies
  • Turmeric powder (हळद)
  • Coriander powder (धणे पावडर)
  • Tamarind(इमली/चिंच) 
  • Salt (मीठ)
  • Sugar(शक्कर)
  • Edible oil

How to prepare Garlic Chutney/Lahsun Ki Chutney?

step 1

Take a pan. Heat it.

Add 1 cup dry red chillies and roast it.

Take out red chillies into another pot.

Heat pan and add 2 cup edible oil in it.

Take out half the oil into a bowl

Add one cup garlic cloves into the pan

step 7

Roast it till garlic changes its color.

Add 1 inch ginger into it.

Then add 2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder and 2 teaspoon coriander powder and stir it.

Add 3 teaspoon tamarind and keep stirring it

Then add roasted red chillies and mix it properly.

Blend the whole mixture.

Add remaining oil and mix it properly.

Add 2 teaspoon salt

Add 1 teaspoon sugar.

Mixed it properly.

Special Note

  • Spiciness can be increased as per your taste
  • If you want sour chutney, then increase the quantity of tamarind

  • If you don't want to use more oil then you can add water while grinding the chutney.
  • Instead of roasting dry red chilies, we can soak the dry red chilies in the water.
